Elk Grove’s 2015 Pinot Gris has powerful aromas of apples and nectarines with secondary notes of cherry blossoms and guava. The acidity is bright and fresh, and has flavors of ruby red grapefruit and ripe pears. The finish is rich with light touches of candied ginger and spice cake.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2015 Pinot Gris includes 10% purchased fruit, although it will all be estate grown from next year. This has more complexity and presence than the Pinot Blanc with apple blossom and peach skin aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with light pear and white peach notes, a hint of ginger with a finely balanced finish. Enjoy this over the next 4-5 years.
