Originally from a small farming village in Northern Sweden, John Bergström set sail for the United States, where he pursued his high school and college education. The Bergströms settled in the Dundee Hills, where they acquired 13 acres of land. The family business has flourished and grown ever since, currently comprising five estate vineyards in the finest Willamette Valley AVAs and reigning over a total of 70 acres of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines. John and Karen Bergströms' son, Josh, and his partner Caroline currently run the winery.

The Bergströms firmly believe that it takes 1,000 days of tireless work and effort to produce a Bergström bottling. The diligence that goes into the production of these wines is unmatched as biodynamic practices have been applied to the vineyard since the very beginnings in 1999. No herbicides, pesticides, insecticides or harmful chemicals are used, the teams rather favor the use of natural teas and homeopathic herbs. The Bergströms take great care of the verdant Oregon landscape, which shines through in the estate's red and white wines.

The white wines boast a mouth-watering acidity, crisp fruit aromas leading to a mineral and saline finish and the red wines exude rich earthy aromas along with spicy notes and promise to age gracefully in your cellar.
