The structure and richness of a Bandol rosé wine
The estate
A young agronomist from Alsace, Marcel Ott set up in 1896 with the ambition that the vineyards of the Bandol appellation, ravaged by phylloxera, could produce great wines.
Today, the Ott family still perpetuates this know-how to produce a range of rosé, red and white wines from three estates: Château de Selle, Clos Mireille and Château Romassan.
The emblematic bottle shape of Domaines Ott, created by René Ott in the 1930s, is instantly recognisable and mirrors the quality of these great wines.
In 2004, Domaines Ott* joined the Louis Roederer House.
The vineyard
Acquired in 1956 by the Ott family, Château Romassan is located in the west of the Var. The 74-hectare vineyard is planted on very large terroirs with limestone, sandstone, marl and gravel soils that give rise to refined, powerful wines with good ageing potential.
The sea air of the Gulf of Bandol compensates for the acidity of the soil and the low rainfall of the region.
The wine
Bandol Romassan "Rosé Cœur de Grain" 2021 embodies all the characteristics of Bandol wines. This great rosé wine is recognised by connoisseurs for its finesse and elegance.

Colour
The wine is a beautiful pale pink colour, adorned with golden highlights.
Nose
The nose mingles citrus fragrances with subtle white flower notes.
Palate
A lively attack gives way to a palate gradually unveiling aromas of pink grapefruit, fleshy fruit and fruit tart. With a nice length, the finish has a wonderful complexity.
