An American Pinot Noir of Character from Oregon’s Eola-Amity Hills
The Estate
During a trip to the United States in 1961, Robert Drouhin, the third generation of the family, discovered Oregon’s vineyards and their wines. A few years later, after earning her oenology degree, his daughter Véronique settled in Oregon to work the vines with three pioneering winemaking families within the vast Dundee Hills appellation.
It was in 1987 that Robert Drouhin decided to purchase his first vineyard plots within this appellation.
For over 30 years, Véronique Drouhin and her brother Philippe have passionately produced natural wines under the Domaine Drouhin label, recognized for their quality and refinement.
The Vineyard
The Roserock vineyard is located at the southern end of the Eola-Amity Hills, in the southern part of the Willamette Valley. Planted on ancient volcanic soils, it stretches between 120 and 260 meters in altitude. The terroir benefits from the cooling influence of the Van Duzer corridor and practices sustainable viticulture certified LIVE (Low Input Viticulture Environment).
Winemaking and Aging
The Roserock Pinot Noir 2023 comes from a selection of 35 vineyard plots across the estate, harvested by hand, sorted, and vinified individually. This parcel-based approach allows the full complexity of the terroir to be expressed while retaining the estate’s signature, known for combining structure and power with elegance and refinement.
Grape Variety
100% Pinot Noir.
