An Exceptionally Dense and Crisp Pomerol

Only few properties in the prestigious appellation of Pomerol can claim to have their vineyard planted in the region’s famous veins of clay soil, and Clos du Clocher is one of these rare exceptions.

Masterfully assembled, dense and juicy, the wines of the property have distinguished themselves among the most beautiful names of the Right Bank of the Bordeaux region. The vineyard is planted with 70% Merlot, completed by 30% old Cabernet Franc with which to create a blend of character and identity.

Powerful, dense and intense, the Clos du Clocher 2017 reveals itself to be very voluptuous. The bouquet exudes intense notes of wild strawberries and blackberries, evolving delicate floral notes, reminiscent of iris and violet, the signature of Pomerol. With its elegance and vivacity, the palate reveals a deep and dense texture, offering chewy tannins with a tight and balanced grain. Beautiful persistent, the finish ends with fresh graphite notes. A massive, fleshy and deep Pomerol with the most promising potential for age.
