A magnificent reference of the Pomerol appellation, on the right bank of Bordeaux, Chateau Vray Croix de Gay has achieved another fantastic vintage, in line with one of the best at the estate.
The final year in the organic conversion of Chateau Vray Croix de Gay, 2018 was marked by contrasting climatic conditions. Despite significant threat of mildew during the spring and early summer, the beautiful summer season that followed helped the fruit ripen beautifully. Beginning on September 17th and finishing on October 1st, the harvest took place under excellent conditions.
Made from a blend of Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Franc (10%), the Chateau Vray Croix de Gay 2018 displays the signature characteristics of a great Pomerol wine. Simultaneously fresh and very generously textured, the vintage offers a beautiful aromatic depth and a palate superbly structured by round and silky tannins.
