Chateau Vray Croix de Gay was acquired in 1892 and has since remained in the same family. The 3.36 hectares vineyard is located in Graves: the renowned subregion of Bordeaux. The 2011 Chateau Vray Croix de Gay is a subtle blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
The wine displays a deep purple-ruby colour. The rich nose reveals black fruits, truffles, and violets. The palate offers plum, soy, currant, black cherry, as well as a few empyreumatic notes. The corpulent and fruity style of this vintage suggests outstanding ageing potential.
