Marks and reviews
Situated between the finest crus of its appellation, Château Vray Croix de Gay is one of the finest references in Pomerol, on the right bank of the Bordeaux region. Former winemaker at Pétrus, Jean-Claude Berrouet joined the technical teams of the Château in 2013 as a consultant oenologist.
Château Vray Croix de Gay is a Pomerol wine that stems from a 3.36-hectare vineyard, divided into 9 plots and subdivided into micro-parcels. The vines are planted on clay gravel in the heart of the Pomerol plateau.
Deep ruby/purple colour.
Rich, the nose reveals aromas of black fruits, truffles and violets.
The palate combines plum, soy, blackcurrant and black cherry aromas with empyreumatic notes. Full-bodied and fruity, this is an excellent wine for laying down.
