2011 Pomerol from Graves

Chateau Vray Croix de Gay was acquired in 1892 and has since remained in the same family. The 3.36 hectares vineyard is located in Graves: the renowned subregion of Bordeaux. The 2011 Chateau Vray Croix de Gay is a subtle blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

The wine displays a deep purple-ruby colour. The rich nose reveals black fruits, truffles, and violets. The palate offers plum, soy, currant, black cherry, as well as a few empyreumatic notes. The corpulent and fruity style of this vintage suggests outstanding ageing potential.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2011's deep ruby/purple color is accompanied by hints of plum sauce, soy, black currants, black cherries, smoke and new barrique notes. The wine has loads of flavor, a corpulent, fruit-driven style, and lots of potential. It should drink easily for 10-12+ years.
