Description
A red wine from the Haut-Medoc with a long finish
Chateau Verdignan is a red wine produced in the Haut-Medoc appellation. The vineyard has wines planted that are on average 40 years old. The vines are planted on soil that is gravel-based near Saint-Estephe. The grape varieties planted on this 60 hectare vineyard is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. The wine is aged in oak barrels (25% in new barrels), for 12 months.
Chateau Verdignan 2016 reveals red fruit fragrances. This Haut-Medoc has tannins that are present and silky, in the mouth. The wine is a joyous mixture of a lasting flavor and complexity. A wine that has great potential for aging.
