Description

A refined and aromatic red wine from Saint-Estèphe

The estate

Counting among the oldest crus of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, Château Tronquoy-Lalande boasts a history whose roots go back to the 18th century. The estate has belonged to the Bouygues family since 2006. In 2022, the Bouygues family defied conventions by renaming the property Château Tronquoy and unveiling a new label of a singular royal blue hue.

The vineyard

Located near the Garonne, Château Tronquoy oversees a vineyard of nearly 30 hectares resting on the gravelly soils typical of Saint-Estèphe.

The vintage

Starting with heavy rainfall during the growing season, the year 2023 then experienced mild and temperate conditions, with heat peaks in late August ensuring a gradual ripening of the berries. Showing great resilience, the estate's terroir reveals a healthy and generous harvest at the time of the vendanges.

Blend

This Château Tronquoy 2023 is the result of a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (51%), Merlot (38%) and Petit Verdot (11%).
