A distinguished red wine from Saint-Julien
Château Talbot is a 4ème Cru Classé en 1855 from a vineyard of 105 hectares. This Saint-Julien estate benefits from vines aged 57 years on average, planted on gravel typical of the Medoc. The wine is aged in barrels (of which 50% are new barrels). The 2009 vintage is composed of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot.
With a magnificent purple color, the Château Talbot 2009 emits aromas of graphite, licorice and black cherries. Full-bodied and unctuous in the mouth, it offers ripe tannins and a tender acidity. This distinguished wine, produced during a sunny vintage, is well concentrated, while also displaying the freshness of Cabernet.
