Description
A Fifth Classified Growth in the Pauillac appellation, the Chateau Pontet-Canet is a red wine made with the use of organic and biodynamic agriculture. The vineyard covers a total area of 81 hectares. With an average age of 40 to 45 years, the vines are located on a terroir of Quaternary gravel. The wine is aged in oak barrels (60% in new barrels) for 16 months.
The Chateau Pontet-Canet 2011 is energetic with a beautiful structure. On the palate, the wine is balanced, radiant and silky, and it exudes a splendid harmony among the fruit, tannins and acidity.
