Description
The expression of a white Grand Cru Classe from Graves
A Grand Vin from Graves, the Chateau Pape Clement white 2018 reflects the identity of the great terroirs from which it came.
Produced by the prestigious Grand Cru Classe of Graves Chateau Pape Clement, this great white wine from Graves is made in the Pessac-Leognan appellation. The vineyard is spread over an area of 19 hectares, in the commune of Pessac, south of Bordeaux.
With grape harvests beginning on August 31 and ending on September 18, the Chateau Pape Clement Blanc 2018 is made from Sauvignon Blanc (57%), supplemented by Semillon (39%) and Muscadelle (4%).
After a manual harvest, the grapes were pressed in whole bunches under an inert atmosphere in order to maintain the freshness of the aromas. The juices were then drained by gravity into barrels. 15% of the Chateau Pape Clement white is vinified in egg-shaped cement vats. The wine is then aged on fine lees with stirring for 14 months. An important reference of Graves in an exceptional vintage for Bordeaux.
