Description
The purity and precision of a mineral white Grand Cru Classe of Graves
2018 is in line with the greatest white vintages at Chateau Olivier, a Grand Cru Classe de Graves located southeast of Bordeaux, in the Pessac-Leognan appellation.
Following a rainy spring, a beautiful hot and dry summer allowed the fruit to ripen fully. The harvest of the whites began on August 28 and lasted until September 12. The excellent health conditions of the harvested fruit allowed each variety to fully express itself. The Sauvignon Blanc was especially beautiful and fruity.
The white Grand Vin of the property, the Chateau Olivier 2018 white blends Sauvignon Blanc (75%) and Semillon (25%).
At the tasting, the Chateau Olivier 2018 white reveals a beautiful aromatic structure, exuding fresh citrus notes, white peaches and floral fragrances. A wine of great purity and tension whose generous and juicy palate develops great energy and vivaciousness. The fruit is juicy and very fresh, offering a beautiful structure. The long finish highlights beautiful saline mineral touches. A very successful vintage for Chateau Olivier.
