2012 Moulis Cru Bourgeois from Bordeaux.
The 2012 Chateau Moulin à Vent is the result of an old vines selection from the Moulis appellation. This 2012 Moulis is 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc.
This 2012 Chateau Moulin à Vent displays a black cherry-tinted bright red colour. This Cru Bourgeois possesses a very expressive nose and develops Morello cherry and violet notes, as well as a hint of spices. The 2012 Moulis offers a silky and pleasant attack, and possesses good amplitude. The palate is round and its finish is velvety.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2012 Moulin-a-Vent comes from 45-year-old vines, 40% of the crop aged in oak for 11 months, of which 20% is new. It has a light and slightly rustic nose with red currant and cranberry fruit, the new wood deftly integrated. The palate is well-balanced with tart red cherries and strawberry. There is decent fleshiness and weight for a 2012: linear and taut with a refreshing, piquant finish. This is a crisp, fresh and vibrant Moulin-a-Vent. Drink now-2018.
