Description

A Red Wine from Saint-Estèphe Marked by Vibrancy and Richness

The Estate

Acquired in 2006 by the Bouygues brothers, Martin and Olivier, the Château Montrose stands as one of the emblematic figures of the Saint-Estèphe appellation. Classified as a Second Growth in 1855, this prestigious estate overlooks an exceptional terroir in the heart of the Médoc. Renowned for both the consistency of its quality and the elegance of its style, Château Montrose embodies excellence and enjoys worldwide fame.

The Vineyard

Château Montrose boasts a 95-hectare vineyard in one piece, a rare case in the region, which rests on an exceptional terroir considered one of the greatest in Bordeaux. This "elite core", ideally located near the Gironde estuary, rests on gravel terraces mixed with sand on the surface, overlooking a clay subsoil. This unique setting gives these Saint-Estèphe wines their distinctive character and great consistency.

Blend

This Château Montrose 2024 is the result of a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (80%), Merlot (17%), and Cabernet Franc (3%).
