The estate
Acquired by the Dourthe Estates in 1990, Chateau La Garde benefits from one of the most beautiful terroirs of Pessac-Leognan in the Bordeaux region.
The vineyard
The Chateau La Garde vineyard covers 52 hectares in one piece in the Pessac-Leognan appellation. The vines are planted in a mosaic of terroirs combining gravel outcroppings and plateaus overlooking the town of Martillac.
The tasting
Tasted as a wine future, the Chateau La Garde 2019 displays a beautiful purplish color. On the nose, the elegant bouquet reveals aromas of black fruit mixed with notes of graphite. On the palate, the precise tannins express themselves with great finesse.
