Description
A fine Pomerol wine, both fresh and vibrant
The estate
A true legend of the Pomerol appellation, Château La Conseillante is one of the most beautiful references on the Right Bank of the Bordeaux region. Acquired by the Nicolas family in 1871, Château La Conseillante has created a series of exceptional vintages through the centuries.
The vineyard
A benchmark among fine Pomerol wines, the prestigious Château La Conseillante reigns over a 12-hectare terroir, of which 9.77 hectares are used for production. The vines are 35 years old on average and are planted on grey clay and sandy gravel soils in the heart of the appellation.
The wine
2021 marks the 150th vintage of the estate. To celebrate this special occasion, an anniversary wooden case has been revealed, containing bottles that are adorned with a specific engraving.
Vinification and ageing
The wine is aged in French oak barrels (70% of which are new) and 3% in amphorae.
The blend
Merlot (85%)
Cabernet Franc (15%).
