The estate
A true legend of the Pomerol appellation, Chateau La Conseillante is one of the most beautiful references on the Right Bank of the Bordeaux region. Acquired by the Nicolas family in 1871, Chateau La Conseillante has created a series of exceptional vintages through the centuries.
The vineyard
The 11.79 hectares, including 9.77 hectares in production, of the prestigious Chateau La Conseillante vineyard are planted in gray clay soils and sandy gravel in the heart of Pomerol. The vines are around 35 years old.
Vinification and aging
Aging is carried out in French oak barrels (70% new) and 3% in amphorae.
The blend
The Chateau La Conseillante 2020 is made from a blend of Merlot (87%) and Cabernet Franc (13%).
The tasting
The Chateau La Conseillante 2020 seduces with its rich aromatic palette with notes of black fruit, blackcurrant and peony. Beautifully balanced, this silky-touch wine is enhanced by velvety and elegant tannins.
