An exceptional sweet wine from Barsac

One of the most elite of Barsac sweet wines wines, the 1855 Cru Classé Château Doisy-Védrines is situated on a superb ridge of clay-limestone on the Haut-Barsac plateau, south of the Bordeaux region.

Because of the late onset of botrytis, the harvest of the 2018 vintage took place in 4 successive pickings, from October 2nd to November 6th. The Grand Vin of the estate, the Chateau Doisy-Védrines 2018 blends Semillon (87%) with Sauvignon (13%). A high-class Grand Cru of Barsac from an exceptional vintage.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
Pale to medium lemon-gold in color, the 2018 Doisy-Vedrines gives up bold notes of warm pineapple, baked pears and spice cake with nuances of orange blossoms, toasted almonds and baking bread. The palate provides a great intensity of tropical and citrus flavors with a racy line of freshness and long, spicy finish.
