A First Classified Growth of 1855 in the Barsac appellation, Chateau Coutet is a must-have for those passionate about the great wines of Bordeaux. Difficult weather at the beginning of the year and especially in April, punctuated by a devastating frost, tested the abilities of this great property. Thanks to the vineyard team, who stayed up for several nights to guard the fires protecting the vines from frost, about 50% of the vineyard was saved. The meticulous work and mild weather of the months that followed made it possible to create a very beautiful wine indeed.
The Chateau Coutet 2017 is extremely pleasant. The aromatic complexity on the nose is dominated by citrus (lemon in particular) and complemented by floral notes, confirmed on the palate as both lively and generous, achieving the signature balance of great Barsac wines.
