2014 Pessac-Leognan Rouge from Bordeaux.
The 2014 Couhins of Chateau Couhins is a solid, generous, well-produced Pessac-Leognan Rouge. The nose possesses a real freshness and expresses a particularly ripped fruit with eucalyptus and jammed blueberry notes. The palate offers a lovely, almost creamy tannic structure and deliciously reproduces the aromatic richness felt on the nose. This wine is frank and complete.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
The Château Couhins 2014 has a slightly smudged blackberry and dark plum-scented bouquet with touches of black olive developing with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, well-judged acidity, not a complex Pessac-Léognan but mindfully offering finesse on the finish without compromising on fruit concentration. Fine.
