The elegance of a complex and strutured Grand Cru Classe of Graves
A Grand Cru Classe of Graves located in the municipality of Villenave d'Ornon, near Bordeaux, Chateau Couhins offers, with its 2018 vintage, the expression of a great red wine from Pessac-Leognan.
At the tasting, the vintage reveals a beautiful dark purple color. The intense and expressive aromatic bouquet offers beautiful black fruit, including black cherry and raspberry, evolving spicy licorice notes as well. Fresh menthol and elegant minty notes appear afterwards, testifying to the typicality of the Graves terroir. The wine wraps the palate in a generous and velvety texture. The palate is structured by beautifully textured, perfectly integrated tannins of great finesse. Full of elegance and freshness, the palate continues to develop into a fruity and persistent finish. A very nice vintage from Chateau Couhins.

The deep garnet-purple colored 2018 Couhins features expressive black raspberries, warm red and black currants and wild blueberry scents with touches of chocolate mint and fragrant earth. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is filled with generous black fruit and a fine-grained texture, finishing with lovely freshness and lift.
