A magnificent expression of the great terroirs of Saint-Estephe, the Cos D’Estournel White 2018 is one of the greatest Bordeaux Blancs Secs wines of the 2018 vintage in Bordeaux.
The Chateau Cos D'Estournel White 2018 is born from an exquisite terroir, north of the Medoc, enjoying a privileged location next to the Gironde Estuary. This proximity to the river and the Atlantic Ocean allows the vineyard to enjoy great thermal regulation and constant natural ventilation.
Product of a vintage of challenges and climatic extremes, the Chateau Cos d'Estournel White 2018 has rewarded all the know-how and constant attention paid by the technical teams of the magnificent Grand Cru Classe of Saint-Estephe.
Blending Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, the Cos D'Estournel White 2018 offers a brilliant expression of the personality of each grape variety. With its great aromatic complexity, the Cos D'Estournel White 2018 presents an exceptional freshness and liveliness in the mouth. The mouth-watering palate is structured by a beautiful texture of great richness, balanced and a biting acidity. Boasting an immense, refined and complex body, the Chateau Cos D'Estournel White 2018 unveils a new dimension for the expression of the Saint-Estephe terroir in a vintage that ranks among the best in the Bordeaux Blancs Secs appellation.
A blend of 67% Sauvignon Blanc and 33% Sémillon aging in 7% new barriques (13.88% alcohol), the Cos d'Estournel 2018 Blanc is a little closed to begin, opening out to energetic white peach, pink grapefruit and green guava notes plus touches of honeyed toast, orange blossom and coriander seed. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is jam-packed with exotic fruit and stone fruit layers, marked by a seriously refreshing line and finishes long and honey laced.
