The Balance and Purity of a Great White Wine from Medoc

A fabulous Chateau with a legendary style overlooking the magnificent terroir of Saint-Estephe, Cos d’Estournel is undeniably one of the legends of the Left Bank of the Bordeaux region.

This 2nd Classified Growth at the origin of the fabulous Saint-Estephe is also recognized for its great dry white wines produced in Bordeaux Blanc Secs appellation.

Product of a vintage of contrasts, the Cos d'Estournel Blanc 2017 has triumphed as one of the greatest whites of this vintage. The climatic conditions of the year were particularly flattering to the whites, with the fruit achieving a perfect state of maturity and displaying an optimal sugar-acidity balance with an intense aromatic concentration by the time of the harvest.

The blend reveals with brilliance and energy the beautiful and vivacious Sauvignon Blanc (80%), while Sémillon (20%) brings its aromatic opulence to complete the harmonious balance.

The bouquet of this wine is delicately polished by elegant floral fragrances. Through the purity of the fruit, the vintage already reveals a certain soul. Full of energy and very vivacious, the wine wraps the palate with its dense texture, delightfully stretching into an intense finale. One of the greatest white vintages of Cos d'Estournel.

    Wine Advocate-Parker :
A blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Semillon, the 2017 Blanc comes sailing out of the glass with bold notes of white peaches, fresh pineapple, lemon tart and lime cordial plus suggestions of honeysuckle, beeswax and musk perfume with a touch of wild sage. Medium-bodied and with a beautiful silky texture, the palate is packed with vibrant stone fruit and tropical fruit flavors, sporting a racy line of freshness, and it finishes long with an invigorating lift.
