Grand Vin of the chateau, the Clos de Bouard 2018 is one of the most beautiful references in Montagne-Saint-Emilion, an appellation located on the right bank of the Bordeaux region. With its 30 hectares of vineyards planted on southern-facing clay-limestone slopes, Chateau Clos de Bouard is home to an exceptional terroir.
The Chateau Clos de Bouard 2018 reveals a blend of Merlot (85%), complemented by Cabernet Franc (10%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%).
The Chateau Clos de Bouard 2018 stands as a reward for all the hard work and talent of Coralie de Bouard de Laforest and Hubert de Bouard de Laforest. The vintage already displays a magnificent aromatic profile. Fruity and intense, the bouquet reveals notes of black fruits (plum), evolving on smoky notes, licorice and chocolate. On the palate, the wine shows a magnificent structure, with round, polished tannins and delicious flavors of fruit and spices.
