A Pauillac wine combining elegance and complexity

The estate

Founded in 1730, the Château Clerc Milon is a 41-hectare estate located in the renowned Pauillac appellation, in the heart of the Bordeaux region. Classified as a Fifth Growth in 1855, it was acquired by the Rothschild family in 1970. Today, the estate is brilliantly managed by Camille Sereys de Rothschild, Philippe Sereys de Rothschild and Julien de Beaumarchais de Rothschild. Committed to sustainable viticulture, the estate is famous for its label featuring two dancers. More than a wine, it is a true brand, recognized for its excellence and its unique cultural identity.

The vineyard

Located in the northern part of the Pauillac appellation, the vineyard extends over 41 hectares across the terroirs of Mousset and Milon. The vines, averaging 47 years of age, are planted on deep sandy gravel soils resting on a clay-limestone subsoil.

The vintage

The year began with a mild and rainy winter, helping to replenish water reserves. Budburst occurred early at the end of March. After a relatively dry April, May brought significant rainfall along with cool temperatures, encouraging optimal development. The harvest then took place under radiant sunshine from September 24 through early October, ensuring a crop of exceptional quality.

Winemaking and ageing

After manual harvesting and rigorous selection, vinification is carried out in 40 temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. The wine is then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 55% of which are new. This meticulous process develops the wine’s structure and aromatic complexity while preserving the purity and freshness of the fruit.

Grape varieties

This Château Clerc Milon 2025 is the result of a blend of cabernet sauvignon (62%), merlot (28%), cabernet franc (8%), carmenère (1%) and petit verdot (1%).
