The exceptional 2014 Indian summer marked by heat and drought has allowed the grapes to have a great ripeness. The vintage is gourmet and benefits from great amplitude. The aromas of this Château Charmail 2014 express a delicious spicy, peppery and delicate mint fragrance. This Haut-Médoc is unctuous on the palate and reminds properly the generous aromas. At the beginning a fine and creamy tannic structure can be felt before the strong presence of black fruits develope. A beautiful wine !

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2014 Charmail has a ripe, quite opulent (for the vintage) bouquet with raspberry, crushed strawberry and melted tar scents. There is great precision here. The palate is medium-bodied with plush, supple tannin, cloaked in blackberry and raspberry fruit, brown spices and a pleasant chewiness towards the finish. Maybe a little rustic compared to its peers, but I think this will age extremely well. Tasted February 2017.
