The Chateau Canon Pecresse is a wine from the Canon-Fronsac appellation. The blend is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The total area of production is 4.5 hectares. The terroir is composed of limestone and clay-limestone soils. The average age of the vines is 35 years old. One micro-plot section is harvested at a time until the entire vineyard area is harvested.
At tasting, the Chateau Canon Pécresse 2011 is a balanced wine, quite intense and silky. It also has good aging potential.
