The vivacity and elegance of a great Pauillac wine

The property
The Château Batailley, located in the Pauillac appellation, has a rich history dating back to the 15th century, its name being linked to the last battle of the Médoc during the Hundred Years War. Spanning 60 hectares of vineyards, the estate is classified as a Grand Cru Classé in 1855 and produces wines recognized for their character combining power and elegance.

The vineyard
The Pauillac vineyard rests on gravel soils, perfectly suited for vine cultivation.

Vinification and aging
Fermentation and maceration last about 25 days in small thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. Aging takes place over 18 months in barrels, 55% of which are new and 45% of one wine.

Blend
Cabernet sauvignon (80%), merlot (17%), petit verdot (3%)
