An exceptional vintage, and the fruit of more than 10 years of research and innovation, Protos' 27 celebrates the 90th anniversary of Bodegas Protos, the emblematic and pioneering winery of the Ribera del Duero region in the Castille-Leon wine region in Spain.
Protos' 27 pays tribute to the black grape variety locally known as "Tinto Fino" that is emblematic of the Ribera del Duero. It is a 100% Tempranillo exceptionally produced by the Bodega Protos from a selection of old vines.
From an exceptional vintage for the Ribera del Duero, Protos' 27 2014 captivates the eye with the depth of its garnet color and garnet reflections. Intense aromatic expression, complexity and elegance characterize this exceptional Tempranillo with notes of black fruit, vanilla and delicate toasty notes with hints of caramelized coffee. The vintage reveals its generous nature by offering a long finish.
Faithful to the values that make Bodegas Protos so noble, Protos'27 2014 marks the achievement of a great vintage from the Ribera del Duero, which can evolve in bottle over the next few years.
