Benanti : Contrada Dafara Galluzzo 2019

The Sicilian Benanti family has been producing wine from traditional Etna grape varieties since the end of the 19th century. Mount Etna is over 3,000 meters high and displays a mosaic of sun exposures, soil formations, altitudes, temperature ranges and ventilation. Benanti is the only producer to own vineyards on every slope of Mount Etna. The family has mastered the features of the volcano and produce exquisite wines that authentically reveal each expression.

Stemming from the northern slope of Mount Etna, the terraced vines are rooted in mineral-rich soils composed of volcanic rock and sand. Planted with Nerollo Mascalese, the noble indigenous red grape variety of Mount Etna, this Sicilian wine showcases a pale ruby color in the glass. It exudes ethereal aromas of red fruit and spice. Pair this wine with red meats or pecorino cheese.
