The Refinement and Aromatic Intensity of a Chilean Red Wine from Central Valley
The Estate
Santa Rita, located in the Maipo Alto wine region, is an iconic estate deeply rooted in Chile's winemaking heritage. Nestled at the foot of the Andes mountain range, this region enjoys an exceptional geographical location and a Mediterranean climate that shapes the character of its wines. The estate's history is marked by passion, expertise, and a deep respect for nature and the vine.
The Vineyard
Casa Real is a wine from Maipo Valley, an iconic Chilean terroir at the heart of the Central Valley.
The Vintage
A rainy winter helped replenish the soil's water reserves. Beginning on September 20, budbreak was even and uniform, followed by rapid vegetative growth. January saw significant rainfall, ahead of a cool summer. Harvested between March 15 and 31, the grapes reveal freshness, lovely acidity, and fine tannins.
Winemaking and Aging
Aged in barrels, 82% of which are new, for 20 months.
Blend
Cabernet Sauvignon (100%).
