La Croix Ducru-Beaucaillou 2024

Inviting fruity and spicy nuances in the bouquet of la Croix, with aromas of elderflower and blackcurrant complemented by a mineral touch. The varietal freshness of Cabernet is clearly expressed and pairs beautifully with the charm of Merlot. With a commendable density, the wine impresses with its linearity. It unfolds seamlessly and can rely on perfectly integrated tannins that bring energy and freshness. The wine will complete its development during ageing, but the foundations laid are already promising. An authentic, savoury wine to enjoy both young and with a bit of age!

A big jump up in depth and quality on the aromatics from Madame de Beaucaillou; here you get unmistakable mid-palate weight and texture, with juice and salinity on the finish, 3.7pH. Harvest ran from 23 September to 8 October. 60% new oak (in 2022 it was 80%). Good stuff from the Ducru team, delivering an earlier-drinking vintage of this wine that maintains the estate signature.
