Description

The aromatic expression of a fine dry white wine from Pessac-Leognan

The estate

La Clarte de Haut-Brion embrace their unique and legendary double ancestry. This exceptional wine stems from the common terroir of two iconic names in the Pessac-Leognan appellation, Chateau Haut-Brion and Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion, which have been among the legendary and great Bordeaux wines since the 16th century and are amongst the world's finest wines.

The vintage

2012 was a year marked by a diverse climate. The cool, wet conditions disrupted the budburst and slowed down the veraison. The summer was very mild, enabling the Chateau Haut-Brion teams to carry out rigorous work on the vines in order to ensure that the vineyards were in a healthy condition an dhad reached an even stage. The grapes harvested at optimum ripeness led to the production of a fine vintage.

The blend

Semillon (58%)

Sauvignon Blanc (42%)
