The Belle Connivence, the second wine of Chateau La Connivence, is produced on a discrete plot of 1.14 hectares in the Pomerol appellation. The vines grow in a terroir of clay and gravel. The blend for this 2011 vintage is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.
At tasting, the Belle Connivence 2011 exudes powerful tannic notes, with cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant fragrances. The wine is silky and full-bodied. The finish is long-lasting with aggressive tannins that soften over time.
