Description
Clos Henri Pinot Noir 2013: a perfectly balanced Marlborough wine
The Clos Henri Pinot Noir is a single-varietal Pinot Noir produced in the Marlborough appellation in New Zealand. Aged between 8 and 13 years on average, the vines are planted on mainly clay soils. The wine is aged in French oak barrels (25% in new barrels), for 12 months.
At tasting, the Clos Henri Pinot Noir 2013 reveals a fine, pure and elegant nose, developing aromas of cherries and plums mixed with more toasted, spicy and peppery notes. On the palate, the wine offers tasty touches of black fruit and licorice, along with woody flavors. This mouth is pleasantly balanced by freshness, great complexity, a silky texture and generous tannins. Pinot Noir flourishes perfectly in the clay soils of the estate. Its great aging potential allows this wine to be kept 7-8 years.
