A beautiful estate located on the right bank of Bordeaux, Chateau Palais Cardinal takes its name from the ancient mansion dating from the 12th and 13th centuries, whose remains are still visible.
Chateau Palais Cardinal 2021 is a Saint-Emilion wine made from a 26-hectare vineyard composed of vines that are 40 years old on average and planted on a gravel and sand terroir. The vineyard bears a High Environmental Value Level 3 and Terra Vitis label.
Vinification and aging
Manual harvesting. Cold pre-fermentation maceration. Alcoholic fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel vats. Pumping over, punching down. Aged for 18 months in new barrels.
Chateau Palais Cardinal 2021 comprises a blend of Merlot (73%), Cabernet Sauvignon (23%) and Cabernet Franc (4%).
