The vineyards of Château Les Grands Chênes are situated around a former fortress from the 16th century. The 40 year-old vines on average stretch on about 38 hectares. Located in the Médoc region, the 2015 Château Les Grands Chênes is 74% Merlot and 26% Cabernet Sauvignon.
This garnet 2015 Médoc gives off very expressive fruity aromas and has good amplitude. The fleshy, tannic and dense 2015 Château Les Grands Chênes offers an excellent volume and a good texture.
The 2015 les Grands Chênes is pale to medium garnet-purple in color with a nose of raspberries, dried Mediterranean herbs and tilled soil. Light to medium-bodied, it's relatively soft and fresh in the mouth, if a little light on fruit concentration and finish.
