A vintage marked by extreme climatic contrasts, 2018 nevertheless allowed each grape variety and each plot to express itself in the blend of the Chateau Leoville Poyferre Grand Vin. The grape harvest began on September 20th and finished on October 12th, carried out under calm climatic conditions, and yielding perfectly ripe fruit.
Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (64%), Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (3%) and Petit Verdot (3%), the Chateau Leoville Poyferre 2018 was matured in oak barrels (80% new oak) for 18 to 20 months. Offering a pure expression of the Saint-Julien terroir, the Chateau Leoville Poyferre 2018 seduces with its power, structure and aromatic complexity.
