Chateau la Rose Figeac 2023

Ruby-plum colour with attractive red-ruby highlights, stewed plum and apple aromatics; the palate feels compressed, dominated by grilled coffee bean notes.

Score: 88–90. Stewed raspberries, elegant oak, and hints of peony make for a very classic yet effective nose. The palate is fresher, with a rather pleasant grainy texture. Not very broad or intense, but refined.
