Vinum

On the nose, noticeably more restrained than the other wines in the Moueix range; floral, with violets and rose petals over cherry, underpinned by a fascinating minerality; a taut, very vertical opening—no gram of fat, yet with real drive; the creamy texture builds through the mid-palate; there are masses of very fine tannins that keep the fruit in check, a true crescendo of structure, texture and aromas: a very long-lasting finish. A captivating wine that needs time and wants to be discovered.

Raspberries, soft red plums and cool blue fruit notes on the nose – quite fruit forward and expressive. Clean and crisp, a lovely clarity to this – pure and focused with plenty of grip and hold but not chewy or overly ripe, more chalky and powdery. It’s reserved for sure, quiet and almost discrete. I love the cool juiciness and the tannin presence in the mouth – everything is very harmonious despite it being dialled down from its normal bigger, more stylish style. I think this is a bit of a dark horse. Crystalline, dark, knitted and focused with touches of spice, clove, cinnamon, tobacco and aniseed on the finish. I like it a lot but it’s not a wow look at me wine, almost the opposite.

Black raspberries, irises, violets, and chocolate-coated black cherries, with just a hint of vanilla, inspire the perfume. The palate delivers its velvet-drenched, pure, black, with red fruits seamlessly. The refined, sensuous, lingering, silky, fresh finish hits the spot for pleasure seekers. And, isn't pleasure what great wine is all about? The wine blends 99.5% Merlot, and .05 Petit Verdot. Drink from 2030-2060. 97-99 Pts

Concentrated and impressive, with mid palate expansion, and tannins that show muscle, sinew and juice. This opens in the glass, blossoming to show wonderful fragrant peony and iris flower, toasted spice, olive pit, oyster shell, wet stones, pumice, liquorice root, so much possibility and breadth here. Harvest September 1 to 19. 50% new oak for ageing.

The old Cabernet Franc plot has been uprooted and the land is currently resting, which is why there is no Cabernet Franc in the 2025 blend. Fine and subtle, La Fleur-Pétrus’ bouquet reveals notes of blackberries, blueberries and black pepper, enhanced by a hint of fresh wood. The velvety attack gives way to an elegant wine whose power gradually unfolds. The tannins reach their full breadth late, providing a very fine backbone across the palate, while the structuring acidity comes in to support them. The result is superb harmony and a concentrated finish that combines energy and freshness.

Deep, almost black color. An intense, fruity and subtle nose, with hints of spice and hazelnut. Broad on the attack and flavorful on the mid-palate with an underlying austerity, the wine develops into a long, juicy finish, with aromas returning over the tannins on the finish. Good aromatic length. Blend: 97% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot. Ageing: 16–18 months in oak barrels (50% new). Harvest from 1 to 19 September.
