The 2014 Chateau Gloria exudes precise and concentrated fragrances of red currant, wild strawberries, and fresh cherries. The swirl reveals scents blond tobacco and flint. This medium-bodied offering is generous and flavorful. Tannins are still chalky and dry but will however fade over the years. The finish extends on light hints of spices and vanilla.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2014 Gloria has a powerful bouquet with blackberry, boysenberry and cedarùforthright and demonstrative. The palate is structured and quite masculine, a light marine influence filtering through, but just missing a little complexity on the second half, where I would like to see more Cabernet expression. Perhaps this is one Saint Julien where I expected more. Tasted twice with consistent notes.
