This Haut-Medoc displays a bright and dark burgundy-colour. It is clear on the nose with much frankness. Before swirling, the rose is fresh, cherry and black pepper express. After swirling, those aromas are stronger. This 2012 Camensac attack is frank. The unctuous palate relies on a silky structure. The finish is persistent and delicious. You need to wait until 2017 to open up this Chateau de Camensac. Its ageing potential allows waiting until approximately 2022.
Deep ruby/purple with firm tannins and a nice meaty, spiciness, this wine shows slight narrowness and astringency, but it is well-made and certainly above-average. Drink it over the next decade.
