This Pauillac is adorned with a consistent, dense ruby color. The nose of Chateau d'Armailhac 2005 graciously combines fruity notes of blackcurrant and gooseberry, as well as mocha and even perfumed notes. The palate has a good density and reveals supple and evenly-coated tannins. This confirms the fleshy impression of the Armailhac 2005 that is supported with toasty and cassis notes. The finish is long, and reveals a well-structured wine with roundness and volume that is rich and tasty, and does not forget beautiful aromatic expressions. This wine can be drunk now, but it also have the potential to age.
