Description
Fruit of the labor of passionate winemaker Jean-Noel Boidron, the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru - Chateau Corbin Michotte 2018 – has produced a wonderful new vintage.
Located on the right bank of Bordeaux, Chateau Corbin Michotte expands over a 7-hectare vineyard planted on the great terroirs of Saint-Emilion, not far from Pomerol.
Chateau Corbin Michotte is one of the few estates whose vineyards have never been treated with herbicides. On an exceptional terroir, the vines of Chateau Corbin Michotte are planted in soils of gray-brown sandy loam upon a highly ferruginous argillaceous subsoil, the famous "iron grime". The vines are 50 years old on average, consisting of Merlot (65%), Cabernet Franc (30%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%).
Vinified with the greatest respect for the fruit and its terroir of origin, the Chateau Corbin Michotte 2018 is aged 22 to 24 months in oak barrels. The 3 oenologists of the Boidron family develop this exceptional wine to show off a unique personality and style. A great wine for aging, the Chteau Corbin Michotte is one of the great Saint-Emilion wines that can also be enjoyed in their youth because of bright fruit and silky tannins.
