The estate
Château Closiot is owned by the iconic winemaking couple from the Mâconnais, Maine and Jean-Marie Guffens. Driven by their passion for Sauternes wines, they acquired this Barsac estate in 2017. Here, they produce high-quality sweet and dry wines, widely praised by critics.
The vineyard
Located in Barsac, the Château Closiot vineyard benefits from morning mists and sunny harvests. These conditions favor the development of botrytis, which yields wines that are concentrated yet light.
