This Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion is a great success and confirms this vintage to be a Merlot and Cabernet Franc vintage. This 2015 Chateau Clarisse is marked by the fruit vibrancy and fleshy palate. The nose is frank and delicious on expressions of dark and red berries. The wood is perfectly blended since the fruity aspect imposes during the ageing process. On the palate, this wine is fleshy with blended, almost velvety tannins. The whole is balanced and drinks well. It is a well-structured wine.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2015 Clarisse is a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, of which one-third is matured in new oak. There is plenty of sultry black cherry and mulberry fruit on the nose that gains intensity in the glass and neatly embraces the wood. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannin, a little spice and ginger on the entry, followed by grainy-textured red and black fruit with touches of Moroccan spice lining the finish. What a superb Fronsac.
