Chateau Carlmagnus is situated in the Fronsac appellation. Located on the right bank of Bordeaux, this property produces wines that boast the appellation’s typical features and style.

The vineyard

Chateau Carlmagnus 2021 is a Fronsac wine produced that stems from a 20-hectare vineyard. The vines are planted on clay-limestone soil and rest on a large limestone plateau.

Vinification and aging

The grapes are rigorously sorted before vinification without crushing in order to preserve the integrity of the fruit. Daily pumping over and punching down. Aged for 12 to 14 months in oak barrels (of which 20 to 30% are new depending on the tannins of the vintage).

The blend

Chateau Carlmagnus 2021 comprises a blend of Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Franc (10%).
