Fruit-driven, elegant medium to full body red from Priorat
Francesca Vicent is a fifth-generation producer at Cesca Vicent. The 11 hectare estate is one of the oldest in the Priorat region, dating back to the 15th century. Her vineyards are certified organic and she carries on the family tradition of making wines that are as natural as possible to express the terroir.
The Cesca Vicent Priorat 2015 is a blend of Garnacha and Cabernet Sauvignon. Each varietal is fermented separately then blended and aged in 2 year old French barrels for 6 months. The wine is plush yet balanced by lively acidity and fine-grained tannins. The palate displays notes of black cherry, ripe plum, fresh herb, vanilla and spice notes. Decanting is highly recommended.
