Located in the famous village of Mesnil sur Oger, in the no less famous Côte des Blancs, the J. L. Vergnon House has been producing traditional champagnes for five generations.

Respect for tradition combined with a passion for the terroir are the keystones of this house, whose philosophy is perpetuated by Jean-Louis Vergnon's wife and youngest son, who produce vintages renowned for their quality and finesse.

The J. L. Vergnon Champagne House reigns over twenty or so parcels of land that enjoy an eastern exposure and rest on limestone soil. These plots spread over the exceptional Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs (Mesnil sur Oger, Oger, Avize) as well as the Premiers Crus of the villages of Vertus and Villeneuve. JL Vergnon champagnes come from a single vineyard and thus, highlight the balance and elegance of Chardonnay.

The vineyard, which is over 30 years old, is managed in a sustainable manner and has been awarded the HVE 3 label. The grapes boast a very high quality and are harvested when fully ripe. The natural vinification without malolactic fermentation enhances the fruity expression of these champagnes, that promise a great ageing potential.
